DRAFT 3# NEW YEAR, SAME ME

ALWAYS THE SAME            Honestly, I'd say it's "new year, same me". As a soccer player, same mindset, same goal, same mentality, same dream, same  I've put in a lot of effort to get where I am, and I'm proud of my skills. I think it's important to stay true to myself to my self and keep that same vibe going into this year. I want to keep playing my game and focus on what I already do well while also trying to get better at the same time.           That being said, I know there's always room for improvement. Each season comes with its own challenges, and I'm ready to face them. I want to...

Draft 1 CHRISTMAS VACATION

CHRISTMAS VACATION             Christmas vacation is one of my favorite times of the year. While everyone is busy celebrating, I find joy in hitting the soccer field. With school out, I have the freedom to focus on my game. I set personal goals, like improving my passing and building my stamina. There's something special about the quiet of the field during the holidays, it feels like my own little sanctuary where I can push myself and work on my skills.           This year, I joined a National Football Tournament called “PHILIPPINES CUP”, and it was a the best Football tournament i have ever got...

Violence against women and children is a serious problem that affects many people, including in the Philippines. Often, traditional beliefs about gender roles make women and children more vulnerable to abuse, which can cause both physical and emotional pain. This kind of violence can leave lasting scars and make it hard for victims to feel safe and happy. To help stop this issue, we need to support those who are affected, push for better laws, and educate our communities about respect and equality. By sharing stories and raising awareness, we can work together to create a safer and more caring world for everyone. Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, is a really important law in the Philippines. It’s designed to protect women and children from all kinds of violence, like physical and emotional abuse. This law recognizes how much pain and suffering victims go through and provides them with support and legal help to feel safe again...

Climate change is something that many Filipinos experience in their daily lives, and it can be really tough. For families living in coastal areas, the fear of rising sea levels and stronger typhoons is always present. Imagine a mother waking up every day, her heart racing as she checks the weather, worried about how a storm might affect her children and their home. She relies on fishing to feed her family, but with the unpredictable weather, it’s becoming harder to catch enough fish. This isn’t just about the weather. it’s about her family’s survival and her hopes for a better future for her kids. The consequences of climate change are not limited to the environment; they also affect daily life and health. Families often face health risks when diseases like dengue fever become more common in warmer areas. Imagine a parent rushing his child to the hospital after a flood because he is worried about their safety and wellbeing. These situations may be quite stressful, especially for ...

For the 2024 National Children's Month Celebration, with the theme "Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines," I feel really motivated to take action. This theme is super important because it highlights the struggles many kids in our country face. It reminds us that behind every statistic, there’s a child with dreams and a right to feel safe. I believe it’s our job, students, teachers, and families, to come together and make sure every child has a safe environment. When I think about this theme, I imagine a Philippines where kids can play, study, and just be themselves without worrying about violence. I want to help make that happen. I can see us organizing community events where we can share our experiences, learn from each other, and encourage kids to express their feelings. By having open conversations and providing resources, we can help families recognize and deal with violence. It’s all about creating a place where e...

Born on November 16, 1890, in the bustling town of Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Elpidio came from a wealthy family that provided him with the opportunity to pursue education. From an early age, he understood the importance of learning, which led him to attend the University of the Philippines, where he graduated with a law degree. He began his career as a lawyer and later became a district attorney. During this time, he listened to the stories of those around him, and these encounters inspired him to enter politics and use his education to help his fellow citizens. In 1919, Elpidio first felt the weight of responsibility as a public servant when he was elected to the Philippine House of Representatives. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Secretary of Finance and then Secretary of the Interior. In these roles, he implemented policies aimed at stabilizing the nation, especially during the chaos of World War II. The challenges he faced only strengthened his resolve to rebuild the Phil...
